Richard
Mataya, VP of Engineering
Rich has been involved with solid-state storage his entire
career, and has spent nearly 12 years developing products at Memtech. Starting
as a product engineer working with bubble memories, he was
an early adopter of flash technology, shipping his first solid-state
flash drive in 1989. His main design strength is in embedded
systems, having created a number of SSDs for IDE and SCSI
and also designing and producing technology for industrial
applications. With experience at BitMicro and LCSP Deeco Systems,
his main Memtech responsibilities are to spearhead product

coaching youth soccer.
