STEC is a global engineering and manufacturing company, offering high-reliability OEM memory and storage solutions with extensive value-added services to satisfy the needs of any application.

Solid State Drives

From a simple hard drive replacement to the most sophisticated storage array the STEC SSD products are suited for the task. With leading edge controller and drive designs that incorporate proprietary Flash management solutions STEC has the SSD product for any situation. From the world's fastest random access ZeusIOPS drives for streaming large arrays of data, to the best in class performance of the MACH8 product family, STEC can provide the most complete array of SSDs in the marketplace today.

Flash Memory

Powered by our proprietary controller technologies, STEC Flash solutions define the industry standard for reliability, performance, and flexibility. Our advanced Flash management, embedded security features and complete product breadth covering a wide array of interfaces and form factor translate into the industry's most comprehensive Flash offering.

DRAM

STEC OEM grade DRAM modules are high-capacity, high-performance, and high-reliability modules designed for the demanding needs of servers, telecom, embedded applications, and other complex products. These modules are developed using STEC's world-class engineering, testing, and volume manufacturing expertise. These modules are customizable to meet the need of non-standard system or application requirements.

We are an award-winning supplier to the OEM market. In order to achieve this, we focus on the OEM market - and solely on the OEM market. This sharp focus combined with our cutting-edge knowledge base enables us to respond rapidly to challenges faced by our OEM partners.

As a supplier to our OEM partners, we pride ourselves on the process and procedure that we put in place to ensure that our partners receive only award winning solutions.

Beginning by listening to our partners we are able to identify the unique needs and challenges, which enable us to develop our product definition. This will be the vehicle that drives our expert engineers to further the product in design development and to ensure that the product is directly catered to our partners. Once developed, we move the design through our world class in-house manufacturing facilities located on our main headquarters. By manufacturing the design in-house we are able to directly test and reevaluate any issues or incompatibility that may occur. Through our intensive testing procedures, such as our renowned TDBI (Test During Burn In), we are able to achieve unrelenting reliability. To further ensure that our partners receive solutions of unyielding quality, STEC delivers industry-leading support. Because of our vertically integrated process control, we are able to deliver on any scale to any partner uncompromising standards. Manouch Moshayedi — Chief Executive Officer, STEC Inc.

Manouch Moshayedi, a co-founder of STEC, has served as President or Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors since the inception of the company in March 1990. From March 1990 to September 1994, Mr. Moshayedi also served as Chief Financial Officer.


Director, Secretary

Mark Moshayedi — President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer, STEC Inc.

Mark Moshayedi has served as director since March 1992 and as the company's Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technical Officer and Secretary since January 1995 and President since March 2007. From April 1992 to June 1994, Mr. Moshayedi served as Senior Vice President.


Director

Kevin C. Daly, Ph.D. — Chief Executive Officer, MAXxess Systems Inc.

Kevin C. Daly, Ph.D. joined STEC as a director and member of our Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees in May 2010. Dr. Daly has served as Chief Executive Officer of MAXxess Systems, Inc., a provider of electronic security systems, since November 2005. From August 2007 to 2009, he also served as Chief Executive Officer of iStor Networks, Inc., a manufacturer of network storage systems. From 2002 to 2005, Dr. Daly was Chief Executive Officer of Avamar Technologies, Inc., a developer of storage deduplication technology. Avamar was subsequently acquired by EMC Corporation in 2006. Prior to serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Avamar, Dr. Daly was Chief Executive Officer of ATL Products, Inc., a provider of tape automation systems. ATL Products completed an IPO in 1997 and was subsequently acquired by Quantum Corporation. Dr. Daly was Chief Technical Officer of Quantum Corporations Storage Solutions Group from October 2001 to July 2002. Dr. Daly served as a member of the Boards of Directors of Danka Business Systems, PLC, a provider of comprehensive document solutions, from 2002 to 2008 and iStor Networks, Inc. from 2002 to 2009. Dr. Daly is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of Iteris, Inc., a provider of traffic management solutions, and Project Tomorrow, a national education non-profit group based in Irvine, California.

Matthew L. Witte — Managing Partner, Marwit Capital LLC.

Matthew L. Witte joined STEC as a director and member of our Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees in January 2009. Mr. Witte is a founding partner of Marwit Capital, LLC, a private equity firm, since January 1994. In addition, Mr. Witte is currently one of two Managing Partners of the firm's current fund - Marwit Capital Partners II, L.P. - where he is responsible for the fund's management and final investment decisions.

Rajat Bahri — Chief Financial Officer, Trimble Navigation Ltd.

Rajat Bahri joined STEC as a director and member of our Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees in November 2005. Since January 2005, Mr. Bahri has been Chief Financial Officer of Trimble Navigation Limited, a publicly-traded company that provides advanced positioning product solutions. Prior to joining Trimble, Mr. Bahri served for more than 15 years in various capacities within the financial organization of several subsidiaries of Kraft Foods, Inc. and General Foods Corporation. Most recently, he served as the chief financial officer for Kraft Canada, Inc. From June 2000 to June 2001, Mr. Bahri served as chief financial officer of Kraft Pizza Company. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Bahri was Operations Controller for Kraft Jacobs Suchard Europe.

F. Michael Ball — President, Allergan Inc.

F. Michael Ball joined STEC as a director and member of our Audit and Compensation Committees in October 2000. Mr. Ball was appointed as a member of our Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee in February 2004. Since February 2006, Mr. Ball has been President of Allergan, Inc., a publicly-traded pharmaceutical company. From October 2003 to January 2006, Mr. Ball was Executive Vice President and President, Pharmaceuticals, of Allergan, Inc. From April 1996 to September 2003, Mr. Ball was Corporate Vice President and President, North America Region of Allergan, Inc. Mr. Ball served as a director of IntraLase Corp., a publicly-traded company, from July 2006 to April 2007.

Christopher W. Colpitts — Managing Director and Global Head of Technology Investment Banking, Deutsche Bank

Christopher W. Colpitts joined STEC as a director in March 2009. Since May 2006, Mr. Colpitts has been the Managing Director and Global Head of Technology Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank. Prior to this, he spent nine years at Lehman Brothers, most recently as Managing Director and Global Head of Electronics Investment Banking.
